LG UltraFine 5K Display

LG recently released a new 5K monitor to go with the 2016 MacBook Pro, however it has been reported that the monitor has been pulled from Apple stores after continued problems. According to the stories that have been published, users have been running into problems when using the LG UltraFine 5K display near wireless routers. If you try to buy this product you will be told that Apple is waiting for a new fixed version of the monitor. Judging by Apple’s online store, we can guess that Apple thinks the monitors should be fixed within 5 to 6 weeks, since that is the expected wait for dispatch that they are giving at the moment.

Shopping With Google Home

You can now shop with Google Home. This has been a feature built into Google’s competition, the Amazon Echo, since it was released, as it has the ability to shop through Amazon. Goole Home will allow users to shop with participating Google Express retailers, which includes stores like the Google Store (obviously), PetSmart, Costco and Walgreens. This feature helps Google home stand up more against its competition.

Google Pixel

Still on the topic of Google, Google are asking for customer feedback on the design of the Google Pixel so that they can possibly provide design improvements on the Pixel 2. The Pixel’s product lead, Krishna Kumar, made a post on the Pixel User community page asking for Pixel and Pixel XL owners to share their feedback on the smartphone about what they liked and disliked most.

On a side note, if you are in the UK and were waiting to buy a Pixel in “Really Blue” then the wait is nearly over, a release date of February 24 has now been confirmed. This variant of the Pixel will only be available from EE and Carphone Warehouse. However, if you want this variant you will have to be quick since it’s only available whilst stocks last.

The glasses look like a VR headset and have a camera mounted in the middle which captures real time footage, it then displays this footage in high quality on two LED screens that are positioned in front of the user’s eyes and allows them to see clearly. This product is currently very expensive at $9.995.00 but eSight are working on getting the price down so that it can be available to more people.
